The StroboStomp2's die-cast aluminum chassis sports Neutrik© jacks, blue accent lighting & is finished in a tough Titanium Pearl powder coat.

Ive heard people complain about the jacks in the original version...maybe the Neutrik jacks are an improvement...

I just looked at the Peterson site..the jacks are a DEFINITE improvement! Also they changed the backlit screen. When the pedal is not engaged the light on the screen is turned off to save battery life.

The light on the screen on mine turns off when the pedal is off. I didn't come stock like that, you have to mess with the DIP switches inside. I like the look of the new jacks (looks much sturdier) and the cool paint. It doesn't make me want to get rid of my SS though.

Yes the jacks are different, never had any problems with mine though. And as far as I can tell the only differences are the jacks, added preset tunings, and color. And I guess more of the pedal lights up.

Ya the original jacks are pretty lame for a pedal they clame to run over with a truck at it dont hurt it. My jacks are loose and wont stay tight even mounted to a pedalboard. I think they'll warrantee it still tho............but I still claim it's the best pedal I have bought!

I have more trouble with the power plug coming loose. Last Friday night I had to kick the pedals a bunch of times while I was singing to get them to come back on before my solo! I didn't have the opportunity to bend down and remake the connection.

I might just buy some new jacks for the 'ol SS and see if I can put 'em in myself. Shouldn't be too hard.

musiciansfriend says Feb 8th or 10th, I forget. Click thru the NAMM update and click strobostomp/peterson. You can pre-order as I have done.
