My first Dr Z. Blonde Route 66 on top of a 1x15(Eminence Legend 151) Lopo cab. Now I know what loud really means.

Congrats and welcome. Also interested in how the 66 sounds with the 15 vs a 12. Thanks.

Thanks everyone. I have only had the cabinet for a couple of days and have not really had a chance to check it out properly. I will let you all know once I get that chance. The speaker is new and needs to be broken in. I will say that it does sound nice and seems louder then the 2x12 I was using.

I'm a big fan of 15s too (weber alnico blue and 15f150), so interested to hear what you think. Mine are probably a fair bit lower efficiency being webers vs eminence speakers.

Had a chance to check out the 1x15 cabinet properly. It is a very efficient speaker, and seems louder then the 2x12 celestions I use. It is a very well balanced sound. It has a big low end sound without any flab or muddiness. Nice mids and smooth high end without getting shrill or ice picky. The 2x12's had more focused mids then the 1 x15. A great sound and if I want more mids I have my 2x12's. Next I have to try both cabinets together!
