Here's the demo I did tonight messing around wtih my bootleg synth/hammond organ! I've been planning this for a long time and I'm very pleased with the results.

Warning: Part of it comes in loud when the delay oscillates a fair amount around 2:38, so adjust the volume on your speakers so it's not too loud at that point. I'm pretty sure it's my mic or my computer from recording that is overdriving, your speakers should be fine if it's not too loud.

You can see how everything is in the picture pretty much. Yes, that's a dry cleaning hanger that was modified in my custom shop to hold the breath tube for the melodica. This is a great week to have quit smoking- I'm going to need all the air I can get to practice this thing without getting a headache! The melodica has a K&K contact pickup installed on the body. Everything just kind of fits pretty well on the music stand (except for the hanger! It will be replaced by a gooseneck soon hopefully!). Keep in mind that I'm just using a room mic and not playing that loudly, so you can hear the cabinet, footswitch and acoustic sound from the melodica pretty clearly, but none of those would be amplified/audible in a louder setting (if I don't run into feedback issues anyway).
Basically, I wanted to be able to get some really good hammond sounds with my setup to have looped as rhythms. The MP3 on my soundclick is basically me making up two or three (maybe just one?) figure on the melodica and displaying a variety of sounds. I apologize for the playing, I took a little piano, but don't really play much (until this last night when I got the pickup in the mail!)... I think it will be pretty effective. I'm not sure that it will be in exactly that setup in a loop, but I like those E-H pedals up there. I have another couple of delays coming, so I'd be OK leaving it there, and I will be able to route the guitar through that loop with a footswitch and play through it that way, too.
I might put some guitar samples up under this post, too, so check back later...
