I know lots of people love to hate Mike Fuller and his pedals and the Fulltone OCD was probably one of the biggest 'net hypes as far as pedals go, but I have to give props where props are due. I just tried the OCD with my Route 66 and it sounds absolutely amazing ... wow. Now, this is odd because it sounds pretty bad with my other amp ... buzzy, muddy and no definition, no matter what I did, I could not get it to work. I guess it's just one of those pedals that do not work with all amp/guitar combos. Anyway, Strat>OCD>Route66 just rocks! Tons of harmonics, rich, crunchy, very amp-like (hate that expression but no other ways to describe it), cleans up great and really lets the Strat shine. Big, big thumbs up for this one.

I agree, I play through an OCD (new model updated) powered with 18v adapter, and it really rocks. I use it pushed up with an RC Booster that gives sustain and that "certain thing" many Z users already know...

I totally agree, the OCD is a great pedal, but seems to react differently with different amps. It sounds much better with my SRZ 65 than my fender. Are you guys running it on the HP or LP settings? The HP side of things seems to be better w/the Z (tone nob at about 10:30) The LP side seems to work out better with the fender clean sound. I just stacked it with a new BB pre amp last night and it smoked, It blew away our other guitar players Boogie Mark III, sound. Dr. T how did the 18 volt power supply change your sound?

18v adapter does change the sound: more dynamic, more touch-responsive, I can use it in LP mode with R66 without loosing brightness. I run FD2 with 18v too but OCD changes more.

Running OCD and FD2 at 18v will give a different dimention in tone.

Thanks for the info, where did you get the 18v power source and what brand is it? Hey Sky dog, did you end up getting your SRZLtd. yet. Please post as soon as possible as I'm going to living vicariously through those 35 lucky dogs! I'm still loving the SRZ but the combo weighs a ton and I like the idea of changing cabs and the lighter weight head. If anybody out there wants one of the first SRZ65R combos made I'd be interested in trading or making a deal for a SRZ65 head. I'm not sure of the year of the combo but I've been told it must of been made around or before 1990. Any way the amp was cooking with the OCD and BB combo. I used a visual sound RT.66 for clean boost/compression. ( Our first gig in 2months with a new drummer and guitar player). It felt great to get out again!

I did my first gig with my OCD (on New Years) and old, trusty Rt 66. The OCD is astounding. To me, it stands high above the rest of my pack (TS-808, FD2, Klon). This one will be REALLY hard to beat.

I thought the OCD would probably work better with the 66 than alot of amps but I've never got to hear the combination. I'm waiting to hear the GT-500. Sounds like it could be a good mate with the 66 also.
