I just received this baby and I will post a full review after I put it through a few amps. I have owned a lot of boosts including the Klon, FD2,Fatboost, SHO Zvex, Bad Bob ...so it will be interesting how it compares. Anyone try one?

I've got the old version here. I haven't tried it on the Stingray actually - I bought it about 16 months ago and used it for a while with my Flexi, but ended up taking it off the pedal board. Actually, I ended up just leaving the pedal board home - the Flexi sounded so good without that I realized I was wasting my time with the board. But the Stingray is a LOT cleaner than the Flexi, so I wanted some dirt and back I go to the pedal board. Maybe I'll dust it off and give it a whirl next week...
Hey, that pedal matches your guitars!

LeftyLang, what are your thoughts on the boosters you've already tried? I'm particularly curious about the SHO.

The original TM and a Mesa MK IV were a match from heaven. I don't use mine any more as I sold the MK IV and now use a single channel amp (Maz 18).

LeftyLang, what are your thoughts on the boosters you've already tried? I'm particularly curious about the SHO. I use a SHO with my Stang Ray... I simply love it. I had a little taste test with several boosts recently: A Keeley Katana, a Keeley Java Boost, a MI Audio Boost 'N' Buff, Timmy set as a boost (gain down/vol up). The SHO starts off crystal clean, but as you pass 12 o'clock (and attenuate!) the cascaded FET kicks in with luscious harmonics on the Stang Ray. With my Z-28 or Deluxe Reverb, I prefer Timmy (as a boost) and the Java Boost when I want to rough things up... or the SHO. It kicks butt on a blackface... I like it so much I just got a Box of Rock which has a far lower input resistance and dirties up fasterquicker; plus it has a third cascaded FET which is great at lower volumes. I LOVE boosts. I'm a certifiable boost freak. I had a Time Machine for a while (the older one you had to plug in)...I found the modern side sterile, but liked the "vintage" side...much warmer like a Java or Timmy (as a boost).

I just found my first boost player, a homebrew JFET booster I found somewhere... GREAT pedal- when it worked. I'll try and get it functioning again, as it could sit on my board along with the Hotcake Bluesberry, ToneFactor Hellbaby and ToneFactor Hellbilly, which are my current "boosts" (not really "clean"- I enjoy both kinds of boosting but would like the clean one back!) It's probably a Jack Orman JFET booster circuit...
