These guys are great. So far I've gotten a pair of boosts, the original DB-1 and its successor, the DB-2, from them, but the customer service is great and they look to be building very affordable and innovative products. I've even had correspondence with the honcho there (who I don't know other than as a customer, but who treated my questions and suggestions with plenty of deference and respect)... he says that they want to build an overdrive, but something truly different from the run of the mill Screamer variants. Check 'em out, though. Really... www.bargeconcepts.com

The BP-1 looks interesting. Funny thing, I've never heard of the pedals they are cloning!

The VFB-1 looks really cool, too. If you put a vintage delay pedal in its loop, you can use the blend control to combine wet/dry delay signal (tone it down a little while it's set to a strong delay setting) and use the feedback loop switch to send it into oscillating feedback.
The guy behind it is on TGP (BargeConcepts) and is a good guy. The products look top notch in terms of design and construction.

I forwarded the thread to Geoff. The soundclip suggestion never occurred to me. The boosts are as good as and more versatile than T.C.'s Luxury Drive.
The thing I like with these guys is that they seem to be really trying to think outside the box, thus the unusual choices of pedals to rework. I'm really jacked about the possibility of a really unique but useful OD box...

tjstrat, how does the effects loop work in the DB-2?

I've never experimented with the loop, but with the right channel being totally clean and the equipped with a master volume, I assume you simply run your pedals at unity or slightly boosted at the front, then adjust the master volume channel on the left. I'd email Geoff and get more specifics, but even if you're only looking for a clean or solo boost these things rock.
