First of all I don't use pedals much. No offense to anybody who does. So last night I used our sound mans BBE Freq Boost and I liked it. I used it a little at rehearsal about a month ago and liked it also, but just wasn't sure about it.
With the one button knob set at just under 12noon ( about 11:30) it gave a nice upper mid, lower treble, very slight distortion, very slight compression sound. It adds just a touch of sustain that i really liked. I only used it for a couple of songs with my Maz 38 with my 60's reissue Strat with Custom Shop 54 pickups, and with my Taylor T5 for a couple of songs. The sound man loves the sound of the T5. He says you can close your eyes and just picture a Gretsch being played. With the Freq boost it really gave it a great sound.
Is anybody using this pedal out there? Just wondering.

Not using any BBEs, but I'm interested in them... Low prices, most of the usual suspects: compressors, ODs, boosts, distortions. I wonder about build quality and the noise floors and if these are above average bang?
