A friend of mine lent me his last week - this is a really nice pedal. It's marketed as a "Marshall In a Box" but it's not the insane high gain kind of feel. Just nice crunchiness and very amp-like. Also has a clean boost switch that can be used independently or in conjunction with the distortion. But what really surprised me (and pleasantly I might add) is that this pedal does REALLY nice low to mid-gain, on the edge stuff. In fact, with my Tele and Mazerati it sounded a LOT like Brad's Rx EX clips from the Dr. Z website.
I haven't tried it in a higher volume gig environment yet but this is a very promising pedal that really seems to bring out the unique qualities of my amp. Thought I'd pass it along...

I'm always talking these up, but the Barber/Clark Gainster is a great moderate gain pedal, and at the right volume with some breakup, will easily get into the Fulldrive kind of singing sustain. Very amplike, best I've ever personally tried.

I just ordered a Box of Rock largely because how terrific the Z Vex Super Hard On sounds with my Stang Ray. That EF86 front end will pass on a load to the power tubes, which on a 'Ray is where it's at. I'm anxious to run it in front of my Z-28 as well... It's really a triple cascading FET drive with the boost and gain sections based on the SHO. Unlike the SHO (a great little buffer) the BofR has nominal input impedance and a tone control (that works on both sides). But the selling feature is it's usefulness at lower gain levels. I hopin' this will turn out to be my Gibbons pedal
