Which would be better?! I hear the silver LTD is more transparent, but has the same overdriven characteristics, I'd like to hear about some experiences w/ either of these pedals! Thanks!!

I have a Silver LTD on my main pedalboard and it's very transparent! It just adds a bit of hair to the note and doesn't change your original tone. So if you like your tone as it is and want to add a bit of hair to it, without changing anything, the LTD is the way to go.
I play through old AC30's and a Maz. Jr. and the pedal does what it's suppose to do.

I use a black LTD with my Mazerati and it adds a certain midrangeyness that I don't really care for. I've heard that the silver LTD is less midrangey.

Yes, the Silver LTD is less midrangey than the Black, BUT- I like the *slight* midrangeyness of the Black LTD. It's nowhere near that of a Tubescreamer (for example.) I actually modded my Black LTD with an internal trimpot to reduce the mids... I end up just leaving it cranked all the time anyway!
Both pedals are great, really depends on the amp. Barber makes fantastic stuff. I doubt I'll ever get rid of my Black LTD.
