Howdy-
So I am dying to try these new pedals together that I just recently purchased and looking for advice.
I got an ts9 silver mod pedal from analogman a week ago.. sounds great into my maz jr.
On a total impulse buy I saw the FD2 and got it... I haven't had a chance to rock them out together.. Any suggestions as far as placement in the chain?
Currently:
58 RI LP/Merican Strat->Vox Wah->Analogman Sunface NKT fuzz->analogman beano boost->Barber DD-> Analogman ts9- Mxr phase 90-> Maz Jr. 18

Being that they're both "drive" pedals, try them before and after each other. You may notice surprising differences! I have a FD2 as well as a Keeley Blues Driver, and I've tried both ways and prefer the Keeley after the FD2. There's really no wrong or right, just what your ears like to hear! Have fun! Harold

Let your ears be the judge...there is a different with running FD2 with 9volts vs 18volts.To me running FD2 at 18v just sounds alot better,more dimention.

Agree with 18volt adapter for FD2. About placing it, I can say that usually I keep Booster and OD before Dist Pedals, FD2 and TS are both OD so you have to try how to combine them depending if you want more OD or a solo boost... I found that FD after an OD can be a great booster for volume and alone a great crunch pedal.

Thanks for all the feedback folks! Is the 18 volt adapter a must get? My one worry about putting the booster in front of the other pedals is that the Ts9/silver is not true bypass... and I need it to push my fuzz harder.. For some reason the fuzz volume drains the signal and I can't figure it out.. And its not always, just some of the time since its soooo finicky. I talked to analog mike about it to and his is the same way.

Have you thought about a true-bypass looper ?That might solve your problem and there are several of them outhere.

I run my FD2 before any other OD pedals, because the clean boost mode on it is really useful for pushing another OD. I run the clean boost on the FD2 to push my TS9 a little bit and it really adds some balls to it.

Oh, and check out the Little Lehle looper-- that's on my shopping list (maybe two of them!)
