So here's a crude little tone tour of my SoCo into my Stang. The first mp3 out of the H4n wasn't too bad, but I "split" it to meet the 10mb soundclick requirement, it re-encoded the whole mp3 and the high end clarity and transparency just died. built-in H4n condensers used. Volume set on "kid sleeping on other side of 3br Ranch and wife will kill me if I wake them". AKA-- threshold of sound (no attenuation). Anyway, I think the magical harmonic complexity of this guitar into this amp comes through. soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10244407

Nice! At times, on some of those chords, it sounds like there's a really good chorus on it. I know there isn't, but the tones are so complex. I'm sure it sounds even better when you're in the room with it.
Thanks for the cool clip, Eddie

sounds good Justin. I really need to plug the PRS HBII into my Stingray more often!! I'd recommend it. I think that the Stang really loves lower output PAFish humbbuckers. By comparison, my overwound Duncan P-90s in my other guitar lack much of the high end magic of the lower-wind Lollars. If you can keep the higher harmonics intact, it really is just stunning what this amp can do. Towards that end, I think Low output pickups are the ticket for this amp. But those "magic" frequencies really are rather fragile. Old strings and they die. Dark speakers and they die (the Blues excel in this regard). Heck, they even die if the wrong EF86 is in there (wttw-- avoid GT EF86s)
