Thanks to all Z forum guys who told me about RC Booster.
I didn't know it before then I read pages on this forum, listened to demos and ordered one (not many dealers here in Italy). I own this great effect by yesterday and... wow!! Well, it's not really an effect, expecially if you keep it neutral, but that's the fact!! It gives you body, sustain, a little compression, make shine following pedals (IMO OCD FD2, D-pro) and... all without changing your tone. Amazing pedal. Thanks again

I just picked up the ac and i really love it. I tried turning the gain all the way down and the volume up all the way.... Holy crap... what an incredible sound. If the RC does that, then i definitely need to get one.

Is the LED on these Xotic pedals bright enough to be seen during daytime gigs?. What color is the LED? Sorry for the stupid question, but dim LED's are a pet peeve of mine. Thanks Harold

Well, the led is blue, but it isn't very bright, may be during daytime it culd be difficoult to recognize... I think I'll keep turned on all the time, so for me there's no problem.

Man, on my RC I am having a tough time trying to figure out the best spot for it. One day I'm thinking it works and sounds the best at the front of my signal path then a week later just for the fun of it I put it at the end of my signal and then I'm all confused as to which place it IS the best. It seems it changes alot when I do this. My poor George L's have been put to the test! Cheycaster

Let your ears be the judge where it sounds great.

Set the knobs to 12 o'clock, then close your eyes and use your ears as you adjust each knob. You'll find the right setting. It's a fantastic pedal.

It seems it changes alot when I do this. My poor George L's have been put to the test! Cheycaster it really depends on what you want it to do. when you turn the gain knob all the way down, it's not doing anything since it only "adds" fatness to the sound. so if you have the EQs at the notch and the gain all the way down (counterclock), you'd basically get a straight volume control. if you want a little fatness/girth, you'd turn up the gain control. if you want to brighten/darken the sound, you move the treble. and for the low-end, you've got the bass control. if you get to know the controls well, it shouldn't matter where in the efx chain you put it since you'd be able to make necessary adjustments to compensate for the placement of the effect. i generally use my RC as a booster EQ rather than as a buffer. with BB, i have it placed after to bump up the volume (BB is set to unity gain) and with Tim, i have it placed before (to hit Tim harder for a touch more OD). on its own it just bumps the volume a bit, add a little girth and shave off the bass a little. i also turn down the treble ever so slightly to keep things on an even keel. so when i step on it, it makes the guitar sound louder and slightly fatter. my settings also change a bit depending on the room where i'm playing ,more than anything. this is partly because my amp settings would change very slightly, too. it only makes sense, no controls would stay the same all the time really.... hope this help....
