I bought a Strobostomp a few months ago and I just wanted to let everyone know how much I like it. I have used it outside in direct sunlight and the display is still just as easy to see as it is inside a dimly lit bar. I was quite skeptical that the display could be that good but it is. But the biggest selling point to me is tuning accuracy. In the months that Ive been using the Strobostomp, I usually tune up before the set and thats it...I might have to check mid-set if I have new strings or just did some crazy bending but for the most part...now I tune before the set and thats it. With my old Boss tuner, I was spot checking my tuning constantly...between songs, in the middle of a song, it was driving me crazy! Thank goodness for the Strobostomp!

Good to know. Thanks RC. I've been on the fence for a strobostomp, mostly because of the expense and my TU-2 gets the job done. I keep reading that the boss tuner's bypass sucks tone. I recently put an a/b switch in front of my boss tuner. I can't say that I notice a difference playing live...
Anything to get my ears closer to a happy place for tuning is probably a good investment.

I'm with RC on the usefulness of the Strobostomp. I've had mine 6 months and it is a permanent fixture on my pedal board.

Man i tell ya with my VS-1, i cant go back to the old tuners! I love this thing, the closest to haulin around a real strobe unit as i spose you can get! Ive had it for about 4-5 (?) years now, and never had an issue with it.

I really like being able to use it as a DI for acoustic gigs and being able to tune muted with the acoustic. And the led is great. Up till recently I had a TU-12 that lasted 15 years. Hope Strobo lasts that long.

I don't hesitate to buy things like tuners when I think there is an improvement. I really think the SS is a step ahead. The only thing i dislike at all, and not much, is the box it's in. I'd rather just see a plain old functional box but that's me. I also just ordered an 07 Honda Element to be my business car so i run a bit off of the beaten path!

My only criticism of the Strobostomp is the 1/4" input jack has too much play, it doesn't hold the male in very well, comes out too often.

My 2 favorite effects pedals:
1) RC booster 2) Strobostomp
being in tune and being able "step out" and still sound like your self! Harmony and boosted transparency! I love the "feiten" feature.

My sig testifies that I think the SS is the best $$ you can spend on a pedal ever.
I love mine.

another +1 for the SS
Only drawback is that it makes me neurotic about my tuning!

Been using my Strobo a few months now. According to the manual it does a lot of stuff. Fortunately, you can just plug in and tune up. The people I play with were skeptical at first but now my Strobo gets passed around. Everybody wants to use it. It makes 12-string guitar playable.
