The Treble and Bass knobs add their respective frequency up to 12 O'clock... after, they add gain, not much more off that frequency......Like an old Fender amp. If you dime all three, it takes each out of the circuit giving you a killer drive. Move them around and experiment, some great tones to be had!

Yes, it's true. But i wanna to now some tech info about the tone stack: I never saw a tone control circuit like this. It's not bandaxall or twin T etc... What kind of tone stack is this?

I was once heard that 66's tone stack layout is somewhat like a Hi-fi design. Can't remember the details, but I belive there has a discussion about this in this form.
