it would take me a year or more to come up with a riff...I have a couple that might be considered riffs....I will have to see if I can record them and share

well here is a couple of quick ones....more or less a very simple intro riff to a tune. The first one I did use for an original song we used to do in the band. The second one at about 20 seconds was just a riff I had made up one time jamming....that's about all I can come up with. LOL gear: 52 ri tele into Xotic AC>BB preamp>Cmatmods deeelay>Maz Jr NR www.4shared.com/audio/xaMS-RJ4/riff_noise.html

I have a bunch of parts that somehow become new songs. Been doing it like that since I was a teen. Here is my next riff... www.myspace.com/therecordfable123It's a few ideas with a drum track used for timing/click.

I haven't had a chance to record something new yet but i've got lots of ideas for this thread... here's an old one. I called it "Guitar Army" because the layered guitars at the beginning reminded me of the way Page builds layered walls of guitar sound. (OK... I just realized it might be a blatant rip off of the opening riff of "Wanton Song".... oops) www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=817668&songID=7183860

Definitely some Perry/Page influence there, I like it. Very warm recording.

Ok, I've got one for ya. It's from a few weekends ago. I like to lay down as complete an idea as I can when a certain riff is in my head. So this actually has drums, bass and multiple guitar tracks. I get ideas like this, record them, then they get filed away in the archives for later use and to borrow parts from. It is a little repetitive and quite sloppy in places, but that is the nature of a quick recording I guess ;D soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10146988
