I have heard cool things about the Fulltone Choralflange. It also gives you the option of running two amps in stereo when the effect is engaged. I also had a Voodoo Lab Analog Chorus for a long time and it sounded great.

I have a stereo Analogman stereo Clone Chorus and a Choralflange. The Clone Chorus is really nice and thick, but not as versatile as the Choralflange. The Fulltone is great too; you can choose true bypass or buffered mode in mono. The stereo operation is buffered only. The buffer is the best one I've heard in a pedal this side of Pete Cornish. The Choralflange is very versatile; I love almost all the suggested settings in the manual. Great pedal.

Love my Analogman Clone Chorus ... lush and thick. Bit of a one-trick pony but it does (and sounds) exactly what I need so I love it.

I've been digging my AM Clone chorus (with the 3-way "depth" mod) for a long long time.

I've had very good luck with the Jacques Meistersinger for the last 2 or 3 years. It replaced the TC Electronics Chorus/Flanger/Phaser that I had. The TC had a nice chorus sound but sounded kinda metallic if I kicked any dirt in. The Meistersinger works great with overdrive/distortion/fuzz. I'm able to get any basic chorus sound from Andy Summers to the Pretenders to anything in between. It does a descent fast leslie imitation too.

I Really Like my Analogman Clone Chorus with the three way dept switch. It's simple, built like a tank, and sounds great.

I love my AM Clone Chorus as well. I just got the Memory Lane and it has a modulation on it, but I'm keeping the Clone.

I found out my MXR stereo chorus really fantastic because sonically it could go into various chorus characters. This pedal is quiet, EQ is very useful and has a lot of headroom and the price is just right.

Anybody got an old analog Boss CE-2. Do they live up to the hype?

I have my ce-2 on my pedalboard now. I don't use it all the time but it sounds good when I do. Been wanting to get the Keeley mod for it. I think it sounds waaay better than the line 6 mm4 I use next to it for a few other colors.

I had an old CE-2 and it sounded pretty darn cool. I sold it in a fit of GAS though... kinda miss it now. I heard that keeley mod is pretty cool joe. Let me know how it sounds if you get it done.

The Fulltone Choral Flange is my favorite out of the Analog Man, TC & Voodoo Labs. I really like the tone of some of the Boss chorus pedals, but they clip if you have hot pups.

The old plastic (and formerly cheap) Arion SCH-1's (not the SCH-Z) are pretty nice. Not true bypass though. They do a great fake Leslie warble, and the chorus is very 80's analog-y.

I dont use chorus to often, actually with the Z's i really like only maybe one pedal on the floor. ( OCD?, snapper? blues devil? ) But..... for those times when i need some color/texture, My old CE-1 ensemble is so lush and organic! The vibrato is amazing, like the old magnatones. It does of course have the whole Non true by pass thing and some input overdrive issues, BUT IMHO nothing beats it for old school analog chorus. Then there's my MJM 60's vibe........ Ahhhh... so many good pedals out there now!

there are too many pedals out there, and what a great problem to have!
That CE-1 is the old big metal olive-colored unit, right? Those are real nice and warm. I also heard the Retrosonic Chorus Ensemble this past weekend, and was impressed by it. Seemed like a higher-fidelity (or "newer?") CE-1, which was running right next to it. I'm keeping my AM Clone in service though - it has that 3-way depth switch and it's giving me everything I want, with a warmth that the Retrosonic couldn't *quite* cop...close though! Just wasn't enough to warrant a purchase.
Then again, the Retrosonic has a vibrato mode in it.....meh.

Yes it is, a big beautiful tank! so cool looking back in 78? when i bought it. I have heard that there is a clone out there that has all the same features but with "improvements" man, sometimes it's the flaws that make part of the sound, right?

Absolutely! I think that gives it 'mojo' right?
I'm pretty confident the Retrosonic unit is supposed to be the clone you speak of.

Too bad other folks can't percieve my flaws as "mojo". Mojo in Spanish would be Mo Ho, just trying to be funny. Very sorry.

Fulltone Choralflange is one of the best Chorus pedals I've ever owned. A bit expensive but it's got a really nice tone.

One of the guys I play with at church has an Ibanez CS9 that he bought back in the 80's. I've never heard him turn it on until sunday. WOW! That is the way a chorus is supposed to sound. Made my very digital chorus want to run and hide. Both knobs at 12:00. Thick rich and stunning. I think the reissue is analog as well. May have to give one a try.

I'm diggin the sounds that I'm getting out of my BYOC Chorus. It has rate and depth as well as toggle to go from Chorus to Vibrato. and the LED blinks w/ the rate!
Sounds good and pretty versatile.
YMMV
hope this helps.

I just picked up a made in the 80's Ibanez CS-9 with Maxon pc board and parts inside. It's in mint condition and it only cost about $10 more than the reissue.
Man this is the chorus sound I've been hearing in my head forever. Absolutely stunning! ;D Analog rules!!!

But I really hate not having the ability to control how much of it is in the mix via a blend or mix knob. Oh well . This one is going up for sale. I guess the Choralflange is next.
