Hi there... (world) I have encountered an anoying "noise" problem on my belovede Route66. With relatively cold AMP - say within the first 15-20 minutes, no problem. Suddenly it start to pickup noise - "squalling, hizzing" sounds. It does not help to unplug the guitar cord, - only volumen knob/std-by switch can effectivelly kill it. I have tried to swap the output-tubes, tried another 12AX7 (currently there is a SOVTEK LPS installed), switched the EF86 and so one, used a pencil to provoke any microphonics - and mechanically investigated the circuitry and solderings, and blah blah - but so far no cure/relief... Any one who have experienced similar behavior? And, any good idea/cure??? Regards //Niels (DK)

That doesn't sound good there toneseeker. I haven't a clue, but I am sure someone will check in with some sound advice (pun not intended). The expert section is another good place to post your Good luck.
