Well...I used my Remedy yesterday at my first gig since I got it. It was an outside gig at a fundraiser for a battered horse & abused children Stable/Center.....I have photo's, but photobucket is not letting them upload. I work on that. Anyway...I knew this amp sounded great, but it just blew me away yesterday. It sounded so good I just wanted to play all day and all night. It was really a bummer when it was over because I just wanted to keep listening to myself!!...lol The sound was pure cholesterol filled heavy cream with a slight sizzle on top. The band I was with is not very loud and I was slightly worried that I could not get the sound I wanted at full power. I was gladly mistaken. I had the amp on full with the Hi volume on about 10 o-clock and the normal about 9:30...tones at \ | /...AirBrake on 3 then 2. Of course my new Ghia 1-10 was sitting beside it as the remote amp for my stereo rig....chorus & reverb as well as dry when these effects were not in use which was most of the time. This was the BEST sounding rig I have EVER used in my many years of live guitar playing. I can't imagine ANYTHING sounding better!! I have another gig with these guys this afternoon. Looking forward to this rig again~ Can't wait till I gig with a more heavy classic rock band in about 3 weeks....then it will be a Z-Wreck/Remedy rig!! ;D

Glad you like it as much as the rest of us! It seems that whether it's dialed down or cranked, this amp is a tone BEAST!

what kind of cab/speakers are you using? Full power is Very loud! I used 1/2 power at similar volume settings with a 4x12 cab and it was super loud. A 2x12 at church with aB on 3 and it was way too loud there, gotta figure some other strategy.

You don't say what you're using, but having two of them adds a couple db, plus if they are high efficiency, you can literally drop as much as 3 to 6db by changing to low efficiency speakers - depends on what you're starting with. The other thing you can do (I've been doing this in my basement) is put two attenuators on there. Honestly, I never expected it to work very well, but it is surprisingly effective. And you can get your tones at a significantly lower volume. Worth trying if you have access to a second Airbrake or a Brake Lite.

I am using v30's in all cabs Seems to me those are about 100db sensitivity, so you could drop a few db by switching to something like greenbacks.

I was thinking of getting some greenies, I have two 2x12 cabs and could drop a set into one of those. Any suggested links to what would work well with the Rem?

Remedy and greenbacks....made for each other.
The Remedy is already an upper midrange focused amp. So using V30's would not be my first choice. The two of them combined is a real hard rock metal sound...to my ears.

The AirBrake will easily bring the volume down to manageable live gig levels. I tried it at rehearsal the other night into a Marshall 2-12 w/ greenbacks & closed back. I've heard people say that was great, but I didn't like it. So that just shows people like to hear different things from their amps. I can't imagine a better sound than the Remedy through a Gold or two, but others might not like it at all. Jus sayin~

sweet looking rig, the blond is cool! How do you comape the gia to the Rem? Thanks... The Remedy is just WAY bigger in every way than the Ghia...not only in volume and size. It's just got way more meat to it. The notes are thicker and have a creaminess that is just awesome. Not to knock the Ghia because it's wonderful in it's own wright! Two extremely different amps yet they both sound like a Z....!!?? How does he do that?

Cool, glad to hear it!. I am playing my Rem through a 4x12 cab and it's flipp'n LOUD. My settings are like yours except less treb/mids and more bass too. I have a wampler ego compressor on the way to compliment the pinnacle and the analog echo/delay pedals also by wampler . These additions have allowed me to take the REM across a broad spectrum of tones.
