I was Messin around last night with my Monza 1 x10. I Put the brakelite on 0 and turned the guitar volume way down......I got some killer clean type tones with a hair of dirt on them. The note definition was awesome!
As I turned the volume up slightly it really added body to the notes, kinda like those early ZZtop blues type songs. My tele's were just singing!
I'm tellin you, just play around with this little beast and you will be pleasantly surprised at what it can do. I'm really luvin that Red Fang, maybe its getting broke it?......but I like it already.

Yes, there is a surprising zone of pretty clean tones in there. I arrived at the same place you did: less Brake Lite and roll back guitar volume more than usual.

The Monza is like the Dr.Z's rebellious youngest child.........with a little discipline and proper training, this "wild child" will fit in nicely into the Z family. ......the Z family resemblance is uncanny!

I do the same for the clean tones and I find very nice sounds. The more volume the more break up occurs. Some real nice textures to be had with some experimentation and it goes to show quick assessments can make you miss some of the finer tones in this box. It is what it is though and I keep finding lil' spots(power vs drive)to play in that make me smile.

what I like is how rich and full the clean sounds are, nice sustain without going gainy at lower volume levels, very pleasing
