Got a wampler analog echo and it's great! Anyone ued the pinnacle, or super plextorion? Looking to go beyond simple drive to singing vai leads as well as saturated 3d chords and ryphs. I heard the pinnacle has better sustain any subjective info out there.

I use the Pinnacle II with my RAY, as well as the Analog Echo in the loop... SWEET! I have the Plextortion & Super Plextortion also, but prefer the Pinnacle much more... The CMAT Mods "Brownie" is very good also - I think Gearmandude does a demo that compares the Pinnacle & Brownie... tom

Great to hear fellas! I just got home from the 1st gig with the Rem! Man that thing cuts through the mix, however, I do need a high gain pedal for the searing solo stuff I like to do and it sounds like the pinnacle is favored over the super plextorion. Tbird could you elaborate as to why you prefer the pinnacle, and what sort of stuff do you use it through? I am not looking for the VH tone (as great as it is) to play just VH songs, but rather a great all around dirt pedal that screams for solos as well as,.. well you know.

The Pinnacle II has a bit of thickness to the texture of the tone (marshall like) that I really like...And, it has a boost switch... I use the Brownie (CMAT Mods) too - Sometimes I'll put a boost after the Brownie for a little extra bottom end... I just couldn't get the gain I wanted out of the Super Plextortion... I think it works better at lower->mid gain tones... I use the Pinnacle the most, and for lots of different styles... Also, I have 2 of Bob Reinhardt's amps - and with these more Marshal like amps, the Pinnacle II is excellent... It might be the same story with the Remedy being a plexi style circuit... Of the demos here for the Pinnacle II www.wamplerpedals.com/pinnacle_2_reissue - the one with Steve Townsend is the most true to what it sounds like... And here's a Brownie for ya: A Purple Plexi: proguitarshop.com/store/effects-overdrive-pedals-c-602_6/lovepedal-purple-plexi-overdrive-pedal-p-1073A Home Brew: proguitarshop.com/store/effects-distortion-pedals-c-602_12/homebrew-electronics-bigdistortion-pedal-p-474A Suhr thing: Or, you might like to scream like this one can: I wish I felt like that helps... I don't play out, but I do play loud a lot of the time...Feel free to ask if I can tell you more, good luck and let me know what you get... tom

I have a Superplextortion and it totally rocks with the remedy. You can go from a quite mild overdrive to all out Vai et al shred.
There are some clips somewhere around here where I use it in a Police tribute band... I'd love to try the pinnacle 2. I was actually going for that but got a really sweet deal on the super.

Tom more great info and the Townsend vid was excellent! I am sold but one question remains. Do you go for complete clean with the Rem when using these pedals? The primary place I keep the Rem is similar to a Paisley/Steve Miler tone with the 1st vol at 11 and the 2nd right around 9 (if 12 is straight up). So, I am wondering with this grainy texture where I am loving from the Rem, will it blend well with the pinnacle's textured high gain? Thanks, and I will post once I get it by the middle of this week

I don't have a Remedy, mine's a Stang Ray... But it does sound real nice through my 6v6 Rivera Venus 3... And the Super Plextortion isn't bad, I just was after a little heavier effect... The Super Plextortion has really good EQ adjustment, and a 3 way gain switch that's nice... I have 9 Wampler pedals, and they're all great in their own way...The Pinnacle nails what I was after though, and I think you'd really like it with your Remedy... I've found with my Stang Ray, that the Brake Lite effects the tone I get from my pedals... So I don't use the B/L ... I hope that helps... tom

Tom, I believe Steve Miller uses the Stang ray, I reference him because thats the sort of baseline tone with the Remedy that I am getting (think the tune 'rock-n-me baby') I would add the pinnacle to. Interestingly, this baseline grainy Paisley tone is so much better than any top shelf OD's I either own or have owned - analogman KOT, new hand wired TS, Xotic bb pre ect. ect. Last nigh at our gig we did a hand full of blues tunes -'stormy monday', 'feel so bad' ect. and the Remedy was amazing with punch and clarity!! A bit of vol roll of and sweet to bring it up and snarl.

Seems we like the same musical styles... And I agree with you about the tone of our Dr Z amps putting a lot of o/d's and boosts to shame... The RAY is a great platform, but it's killer all on it's own too... Cheers
