How do they compare soundwise? I have the Remedy, which I love. Thinking about getting another Z, just to have. Because. lol. I play mostly dirty and I am trying to get away from pedals. Has the GT got more of a Bad Cat thing going on?

Never played a Bad Cat, but the Mazerati GT has a ton of gain if you want it. Although I sold mine (didn't fit what I was doing at the time) I miss having it here. It was a LOAD of fun because you can set it to where virtually every note just keeps on going. First time I recorded mine I was just noodling, and realized I could just grab a chord without playing the strings, and it would just ring out. I did a few of those, then just let it go and wiggled the whammy bar. When I mastered the .mp3, I added some reverb - sounds very otherworldly. Check it out: Grosh Bent Top Custom (bridge bucker) > Mazerati GT > Airbrake (bedroom max) > Celestion Alnico Gold GT Settings: Tone: all the way to the left Volume: all the way to the right GT Wide OpenThat is at BEDROOM level with my Grosh Strat's humbucker! Lots more gain available from a Les Paul, believe me.

I like that the best of all the clips I have heard you do. The noise aparts at the end were great. I think I might grab a GT one of these days. I record stuff like that then put it to strange drum parts. I like weird outside stuff.
Edit: now after hearing this, reading Phil's review and watching the offical Dr.Z video. I can not believe that this amp is not the the most talked about Z. Actually I can as most are clean-cleanish minded around here. But, as I keep playing songs with my son I'm not playin or thinking so much in outerspace. Getting ready to do 5-6 song gig with him and I don't need a really clean sound. The GT really seams like it could cut every thing I need to do with just my RMC.

Nice! Very cool. I think about the only thing I would need would be a wah. lol. Hmmmmmm. The gain is really nice. From the clips I heard elsewhere it cleans up real well with just the volume knob. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

The Remedy is a great amp - one I've been waiting for all my life. Listening to that clip it makes me realize I was a bit hasty in turning loose of the Mazerati GT. We all do dumb things from time to time - that's one of mine.
