Due to the the volume of the MAZ38 i tryed to use the AirBrake to be able to play it at home. My cab has two possible connection 4 OHM (which is the most used) and 16 OHM. I started to connect the AirBrake with the 4 OHM. At the beginnnin(position 0) the sound was clean but more i was going to attenuate, the sound became more distorted. At the Bedroom level no clean at all(the Volume and the Master were always at the same position). Then i tryed the 16 OHM and here everithing works well.
Do you have any idea of this?
Thanks

I'm not quite sure about the distortion. Sometimes in a two speaker cabinet, the contact jacks are used and maybe it's not connecting properly when you plug the wire into the cabinet.
Be sure to use speaker wire and not instrument or mic wires.
Turn the volume lower than the master by a good amount to start with to see where the "clean" is. So if your master is at about 3:00, then try the volume below 12:00 or a little lower and see if it cleans up a bit. I would guess that it will clean up and as you get the volume closer to the Master it will get more furry.

The wire i used with the Airbrake is a speaker wire, it is the same i currently use without Airbrake. The same for the input in the cab, without AB i currently use 4 OHM with MAZ Sr. as for the Ghia and everything is OK.
I will try with the Volume and Master position as you said, but that is a strange situation. using 16 OHM it is OK, without AirBrake it is OK, only using Airbrake( from 1 to bedroom), with 4 OHM seems to have a BAD overdrive pedal connected.

Something doesn't sound right about this. But I admit I'm stumped. Have you called Dr. Z to discuss it?

He's in Italy, it would be an expensive call.

I hope your not driving the cab switched to the 4 ohm setting from the amps 16 ohm out.
That missmatch will cause the speaker at 4 ohm to be overdriven my the amps 16 ohm output.

Hello Dr.Z
No No , i connected 4 OHM from Amp to 4 OHM in the cab. The same for the 16 Ohm. With 16 OHm i have clear sound having the Master at 12 - 1 and the Volume at 10-11. Instead with the 4 OHM i need to stay with master no more than 10 and Volume at 9(whitout AirBrake i can increase a bit the Master an Volume still having clear sound)
