I remember reading somewhere that this was a *BAD* idea. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe I read somewhere that 1&3 are tied together as are 2&4, however, even on half power you need all 4.
I tried a quad of NOS Hytron 6V6's that sounded great in my '73 Deluxe Reverb, but I preferred the stock tubes supplied by the Doc.

I'm trying to figure out why you would want to - there is a switch right there that turns two of them off!

After reading between the lines I think I figured out why you want to do it.... You only have 2 and want to try them in the Remedy but unfortunately that won't work... Sorry my friend... Have to have 4 power tubes to make the Remedy run..
The solution might be to figure out what 2 tubes are working when its in half power and put the RCA's in those positions...

Have to have 4 power tubes to make the Remedy run.. The solution might be to figure out what 2 tubes are working when its in half power and put the RCA's in those positions... I'm not a fan of the 1/2 power switch. Matching the volume levels, I can't get the 1/2 power mode to sound as good as the full power mode. It's more dynamic and sweeter. Even if I could only run two tubes, perhaps I would still be dealing with that 1/2 power switch effect? ...maybe so. It has me now wondering about my Marshall or Hiwatt amps ... I generally run 2 tubes @ half impedence, but if I could do a quick A-B between 2 and 4 tubes, maybe I'd hear the same thing! ? Anyway, you guys answered my question, so thanks.
