Hello Remedy Users! After 15 amps (Matchless, Bad Cats, 65Amps, Fender, Marshall...) I havent found the right amp. I´m totally into that Black Crowes Tone. Just play a Fender Nocaster. Do you think the Remedy with a 2x12" ZBest Cab would fit to my flavour? Would be helpful to get some replys from people who have a Remedy to share thoughts. Thanks to all.

Welcome to the forum.. I love the Black Crowes, great great written tunes, great guitars, amazing vocals, groove, everything.. Anyway... ;D I know that a Delta 88 or KT45 was used live for a while... I have a Remedy but that is a tone I haven't sought out to find for some reason.. I am positive a Remedy can do it, the Z-Best with Greenbacks or the regular V30/g12H30 combination.. With the blendable volumes you can get some nice bite... The Crowes have that good drive with some presence to it, so a bit more on the high volume compared to the normal will help it bring that out.. Their are a couple great youtube videos done by a forum member that show the nice break up of the Remedy.. Look for them.. The demo on the Z site is kinda lame at least to me.. .So look for the others like I mentioned... Another to maybe check out would be the Galaxie it a newer Z with a channel switching option.. Very Fender Tweed and some big time crunch on the second channel...

The rem can nail crowes tones just check out the demo video they play a crowes song in it. Im actually thinking about letting mine go for now if your interested. I really dig it im just leaning more towards a fender country sound at the moment and want to try out a z 28. Check out the demo but it even sounds better in person. Cheers!

Welcome blackkeys! If you're looking to nail the Crowes tone....the Remedy WILL deliver! I hate too disagree with my bud Ty, but, I love the Dr Z Remedy video and mine sounds exactly like the tones on the video. To me it is a perfect representation of what the Remedy does best and was designed for. I can't see the good Dr approving something that doesn't do exactly that. This amp is loud and seems to work best at gig volume, unless you get a brake-lite or airbrake to dial down the volume and still have the crunch working for ya. Good luck and let us know what you think~

Good luck and let us know what you think~ I guess I should have explained my thoughts better.. Sorry... I think the Remedy demo on the Docs site does a great job of showcasing its gain abilities... I was not impressed by the overall tone. If that makes sense... As in the overall EQ settings that were used... Which is personal preference, I like the tone of the other videos of the Remedy for what its worth.. Seemed very high endy , but my ears are weird.. Compared to a lot of guys on here... Didn't mean to miss lead... I am positive that the Doc wouldn't put something up that wasn't showing what the amps full capabilities.. He is to thorough for that.. I am looking forward to the Z-Wreck video, that's for sure.. ;D

Thanks to all for now. The problem is that when i order the amp i have no chance to gice it back if it not suits for me. This is a little bit risky. If have checked all sound samples in youtube. This one with the G&L Assat sounds fantastic with the OCD and RC Booster. I hope it sounds great in real. Confused what to do....

I don't know who you deal with but if you look up who has one and buy over the phone in most cases the dealer will give you 3 days to check it. I know mine does but they don't have any Remedy's in stock. If you get that and I'm pretty sure you still get free shipping from most Z dealers and your saving sale tax buying out of state. So woste comes to worste you pay $45. for shipping. If you live in Fla that is saving you $98 in tax and that would cover almost 100% of shipping both ways.
Good news is you'll keep the amp and still save sales tax.

I had to give up my Rem & Z Convertible Cab because of a Bad Back...I'm in to the little Grab-n-Go 1`X10 Combos Z makes. I now have a Z28 1x10 Combo w/ Brake-Lite...I love it for it's so easy to load. One little combo as opposed to A big cab and head.....If Doc makes a 1x10 combT 1/2 dose Remedy I would buy it now. The Remedy is the Best amp I've ever owned in 43 years of playing and 50 amps latter. I'm a Grab-n-Go guy now w/ a bad back. Rem Is ''F A N Flippen T A S T I C'' !!!!!!!!! For Classic Rock n Blues ! i had all the other stuff too. my second fav is a Real 65' Twin I bought for 300 in 1966. I'm 17 months frm 60 going on 25 ;D
