Last night I used my Airbrake with my Vibroking. It's 3 x 10s and I believe it's a 2.4 ohm impedance - although it might be 2 ohms... anyway, when I clicked on the Airbrake without changing the amp settings(I had it set clean), it started to break up. at setting "4" the amp was really distorting (not in a good way either!). What's up with this??? I figured an Airbrake could be used with any impedance speaker setup. Thanks in advance....

I've read somewhere (can't find ANYTHING right this minute) that the Airbrake is for amps with output impedances of 4 to 16 ohms. If yours has a impedance switch, or another way to adjust the output impedance, you might want to try that. Otherwise, I'm not sure the Airbrake is going to work on your amp. Maybe the Doc will chime in on this, since I think it's the first time I've seen this question here.

Thanks for the info Steve. Upon further research, I noticed that the Vibroking is, in fact 2 ohms...and indeed, that the Airbrake is for 4ohms - 16ohms. I hope that Ihave not damaged the amp or the Airbrake. I guess the only thing I can do is to buy a 2 ohm THD Hot Plate. Also, the single sheet manual that comes with the Airbrake says nothing about ohmages!!!

The old 3x10 Bandmaters were 2.7 ohms with three 10s. 4x10 amps are 2 ohm. Not really important just trivia.
