I'm on week 8 of my AirBrake order and still waiting. It's not a huge deal because I'm still honeymooning with my brand new Maz Jr. NR and not looking to play with my non-master volume amp right now, but I'm surprised that a standardized product like the attenuator is taking as long (possibly longer) to arrive as my custom-built amp.
Is an 8 week wait typical for everything Z, like a standard for all factory orders? or should I start harassing my dealer about my wait?

Thanks for looking out for me, but I put my order in and laid my money down. I won't stray. It's L&M in Toronto, a store that has always been good to me and where a few of my friends work. I'm just looking for an idea of what is typical in a from scratch AirBrake order and whether I should be giving my friends a hard time to see if they were lacadasical in filing the order with the good people of Z.

The thing is, in building electronics, it only takes one itty bitty part to stop the whole build process. You get the whole thing done but your input jacks aren't there yet, you're stuck. Sometimes you can't predict those kinds of issues in a manufacturing evironment. And this thing has to cross the border - I've had stuff get stuck for a week at the border because some Dudley Doright decided to be a jerk. I don't have any specific info for you, but I know how it can be sometimes...

Basically, if people said "naw they're usually shipped within a week or two of being ordered" I'd start to dig deeper, but it sounds like my order is going properly. I'll stop worrying and go back to playing guitar.

lowwatt, patience is a virtue when ordering thru L&M took me the better part of 8 months before my 2x10 cab showed ... and it was another couple of weeks after that when my Z-28 showed. good luck and hope the Air Brake is worth the wait p.s. which L&M location did you go thru - i.e. downtown or out in the 'burbs?

cool - haven't been down there for a while. here's hopin' the wait ain't too long and the end result is good ;D Thanks. Brent is on it and once again the good people of Dr. Z prove why its important to go with a company that cares about its product. I'm not the least bit worried about this one. As for L&M. I have a few friends at that location, so I won't be too hard on them. Out of the Big Boy shops, It's always been my favourite. Now the guitar store at Queen and Spadina, whose ads regularly appear on the top of this page in google ads, where I used to work, who don't pay their distro bills on time, who don't sell Dr.Z, where I met many current L&M employees, now that's a whole other story... , , , , (wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more)

I agreee with youse guys. My Carmen Ghia took 5.5 months to get to the L&M in Calgary, and actually sat in Winnipeg for 1 month, but the store manager gave me a bit of a discount because of this mistake. If it was not for L&M we Canadians would have to risk buying Dr.Z products from less reliable sources like Ebay, etc.
