This thing is awesome. It just arrived, I bought it from forum member Danny who packed it VERY well and shipped it to me fast.
First thoughts - I unwrapped it and notice it's built like a brick house. I plugged it into my valve junior and made my wife sit in front of it as I dimed it and then cranked on the airbrake. Perfect demonstration, she now says this is her favorite of my gearhead purchases. She said if she had known this was available she would have gotten me one when we first met. The valve junior gets pretty dark at full attenuation with very little highs but there's no tone control on that amp either so it's okay. With the amp on 10 and the airbrake all the way on it's VERY VERY quiet. With the amp dimed we can speak in a normal tone of voice in a 13x11' room with hardwood floors. THAT is quiet. And the amp is overdriven like mad too.
Then I plugged it into the route66. Wow. I've never really gotten to enjoy this amp cranked before, in the house it's like atomic bombs going off next to you so this was a treat. Even with the 66 dimed it still was okay, you could speak in an almost normal tone of voice and it wasn't objectionable to my wife. With a little boost I went way over into amazing distortion without really increasing the volume. I wouldn't play either of these with the airbrake while she was sleeping but I can play as much as I want in the house now when she's here and I get to enjoy my amps a lot more. Wow. If you have an amp that is too loud to play inside effectively, go buy one of these. Right away. As soon as you can. Seriously. I can't recommend it enough.
