Just received an anniversary RX Jr. head this week, and am really enjoying it! All the things that the folks here have said are true - great attenuator, nice shimmering tone that has sparkle, easy to adjust desired grit to heavier overdrive, and I really love the Overdose! Sounds especially nice with P-90s. A really nice complement to my Maz 18 Jr. and Ghia. Thanks for all of the great insight into this amp!

Congrats on a great purchase - it is a tone filled amp with a lot of options using the overdose and the MV/attenuator. What cab & speaker(s) are you running it thru? Anything else besides the P90's? I am curious how you will like it compared to the Maz 18 - I have a NR head arriving Tuesday and am looking forward to it. Anyway, have fun - keep us posted!

Congrats on the acquisition! The RXJr is a great little amp! Mine hasn't been seeing much use, so I broke it out last week. I've been running my P90 equipped Guild Bluesbird through it for the last few days into a couple of AlNiCo Weber Silver 10"s. Wonderful tones coming out of that set-up. Chimey cleans to Marshall-esque distortion!

Hi Steve, I'm using it with a reissue Jensen C12N in an open backed cab. Probably not the ideal speaker for it, but it sounds pretty nice. I have also used it with my Les Pauls with Humbuckers and it sounds great. You probably have your Maz by now, so it may not make sense to try and make comparisons. My Maz 18 Jr. is a reverb model, so the comparison wouldn't be the same as a Maz NR, which I understand has more gain than the reverb model.
