Was not using the Z supplied pedal with the button for a boost because the amp is so loud. But my Boss OD pedal was making me crazy. So I used the Air Brake on the bedroom setting and hit the foot button and, Wow, great Overdrive without a noisy pedal. It really works well!

Stop it, I'm out of Rolaids. No more GAS.
How would you say the amp is to play? Is it always pleasing tonewise or is it cantankerous at times as BP would say about the Stangray? I used to have an Original Strength and loved how punchy and dynamic it was, but it was cantankerous and brutal to my eardrums. Always having to try to tame the beast was annoying at times. But when I didn't care, it was magnificent. I must try an ES someday.

It is not cantankerous because it is consistent - hard to tame because it wants to be loud. The only problem I still had was that the high E&B string sounded piercing at higher volumes, but turning down the treble did not help because i lost the clarity on the low E string. However, I just got a new Tele, a Forrest Lee Jr. Double Bender that only weighs 7 pounds - so I went to a Florance VooDoo for the bridge PU - the Florance is wound hotter, but it has a darker tone overall and it cleaned up the treble piercing. Now I am one with this amp -
