After a very brief and very enjoyable time with my Z 28 head and 1x12 Greenback my local dealer received a Remedy Head and WOW . I gotta get a red one though so now I have one on order. Does this end . Thanks Dr. Z! This is a fun journey; only thing is now the w.a.i.t.i.n.g begins.

I don't think it ever does end.. I am getting a Remedy soon fingers crossed.. They are awesome amps...
Is American Guitar and Band your dealer or Margurites in Moorehead? I see your in Minneapolis so I figured AGB in Maple Grove and congrats on the Z-28....
I am in St. Paul and have been going to AGB for along time..
They had a Remedy one for a long time, after trying it many times over the last month or more.. I went to see if they still had it and it was gone.

It doesn't end. I'm awaiting a Z-28 head from another Z Talker. Then I found a MAZ 18 NR w/Airbrake on the bay. Put in a pretty low offer and got it, much to my surprise. This really is an addiction ;D

Hey countrybilly, I was going to bring you up in my earlier post cause it sure seemed like we were at the same place and hearing the same amp. Yes, Tim at AGB is the culprit for me . I love that store but man is it dangerous going in there, and, I live in Maple Grove, so close. BTW, have you heard Tim's, OBrien amps? They are killer good and I do believe that after the Remedy, one of his amps are in my and/or my son's future. Doctorice, you are going to love the Z 28 and yes I saw your great buy on the Maz! Enjoy. Jamey

While we all hear things differently, many people..myself included....just LOVE the sound of a Remedy with a closed back cab with a greenback(s)...and a humbucker guitar.
So if you have a convertable type cab...you might give it a shot.

I got my Lollar Specials for my strat from Tim a few weeks ago... How long did they say for your red Remedy to be in? Never played the Z-28 how does it compare to the Maz or Remedy?

John, I do have Doc's convertible cab so I will check it out closed. I was told about 8 weeks or so for my Remedy to arrive, but I am believing it will be sooner. Ok, I have a hard time describing sound (like telling someone who have never eaten an orange what it tastes like) but... The Z28, to me, is quite different from my Maz (w/ Blue). The Maz has that chime and can sound full from low to high volumes (Maz has master volume also). The Maz is really Vox-like, especially when compared to the Z28 or the Remedy, which really is Marshall-like. The Remedy can do similarly with low to high volumes. The Z28 needs more volume or an Air Brake to avoid the sound colapsing and going lifeless at lower volumes (below about 9:30). The Z28 has great cleans! If that is where you are going, throw in a G12 Heritage (not vintage 30) and go. Turn up the volume and/or the tone controls past 1:00 or so and this amp gets dirtier quickly (more so with Greenback or Vintage 30 than with the Heritage). The Remedy seems to do this earlier but, to me, it just sounds better; more authority and tighter control. The Z28 can sound a bit bright at times; more so than the Maz, and the Remedy just did not ever sound bright, to me. I really hope that is even somewhat helpful and useful to you .
