I am wanting to add a Remedy to the arsenal but was wondering what you guys that have one use the outlet on the back for? What did the Doc have in mind that it would be used for? How much power handling is it rated for?

My experience is that the Remedy's "courtesy outlet" produces an unacceptable amount of noise (hum) when used as a source of power for pedals.

I was running a power strip into the courtesy outlet. I had a 9V adapter plugged into the strip to power a Maxon AD-9 delay pedal. It produced a lot of hum. Haven't tried using the courtesy outlet since.

That kinda sucks and this got me thinking...
I have been GASSING bad for the Remedy so I took my board with me to try it out again to see how it would take pedals and the Remedy loves pedals...
Anyway I plugged my board into the courtesy outlet.. No hum whatsoever with it at the store... So maybe it was a freak thing that happened to you..
Glad it worked right and I am loving the Remedy need to figure out how to get it maybe some trade ins....

I've had no hum problem using a Visual Sound 1Spot to power a small board off the Remedy's outlet.
