Try the 1/2 amp fuse.

There's a 2 amp fuse on the back, I looked at it, it seems OK. Would it even come on at all if the fuse was bad?

My combo did that. I put a new rectifier tube in and it worked like new. Good Luck!

that's what Myles said, too... rectifier, most likely. Got a whole new set of tubes shipped out, today. Guess I'll try the rectifier first when they get here.

Dont forget you'll probably need to re-bias with a total new set of tubes.

yeah, I thought about that, that's why I hope I can just change the rectifier tube. I'm working out on the road away from all my stuff like bias tools and multimeters and such. Maybe I'll get lucky and just end up with some spares.

Hey, Sultan: Glad you got working again. As far the power tubes, Myles told me that if you don't change rating number by more than 2 numbers, biasing isn't really mandatory. If you go down in numbers, it's less critical. If you go from a 4 to a 6, it'll probably be alright. You'd best post in his tech column and ask him the real numbers and see what he recommends.
