Hi Everyone I'm new on the board so please bear with me. I have a Ghia head that sounds great and have just purchased an Eternity OD. When I try to play I am getting a very strong radio signal through the speaker. I have tried switching location, changing cables, etc but no luck. Any suggestions?

If it goes away when the guitar is unplugged then it's not your amp. It's usually something else that you are plugging into it, or a wiring problem in the guitar itself.

I noticed this last night at home too, but it's barely noticeable, and I have the same rig. It disappeared when I turned off the Eternity and returned when I turned it back on. If it's really loud you may just be in a heavy RF area.
One question, how do you like the Eternity with your Ghia? I love it with my Fuchs Lucky 7 but can't stand it with the Ghia! I prefer my Vaughn's Mods TS9 with the Ghia....although that pedal sounds great with both amps.

often one end of the lead not properly earthed- or same with the pedal it's plugged into can also be single coil noise

Hi Fi guys are into those ferrite things. I've never heard of them verifiably helping anything. Thanks for the info.

Hi Fi guys are into those ferrite things. I've never heard of them verifiably helping anything. Thanks for the info. Actually, the Doc recommened and sent me the ferrite chokes for the reverb RFI. They solved that particular problem. They also often come stock on computer monitor cables to help reduce RFI. They aren't a magic bullet for all RFI troubles though.
