Hounds Tooth's new CD, Soul Rockin, is now available. Hit #41 on the Roots Music Report Top 50 Blues Albums (5/21/10) - must have been luck. It is all Dr. Z content with my bandmate playing my 2x10 Ghia (using one of Greg Koch's pedal in front) and I am straight into the Jaz 20/40 on most tracks; Galaxie on a couple of tracks; Z28 on one track. Sample clips and info on the CD are available at www.houndstoothblues.com/music/Also on CD Baby and iTunes. “In a mostly live recording, the band does 7 originals out of ten tunes in real journeymen style. Rockin’ stuff with fine playing, good vocals and a good sense of how much is enough. They throw down with tunes that nod to Slim Harpo, George Thorogood, Robben Ford, and Freddy King…and rock it up while they’re at it. Adept and fun. Genuwine dancin’ stuff. Not for Morning Mix”. - Cathi N. - WFHB 91.3 FM Bloomington, Indiana "Soul Rockin' has a nice feel to it-not overdone...I had no problem finding space for several tunes on my show, as well as in the regular Blues rotation." - Jerry D, Host of "Blues Till Noon" on 103.9 "The Fox" in Quincy, IL
