Another Editor's Pick Award for the Doc. For those who haven't read it, they were gushing over it....for good reason.

Couldn't find the article online and it isn't in the current issue that I have. Maybe one is about to drop in the mailbox?

I can understand why they like the amp.

Haven't seen that issue yet, but it's about time. GP mentioned using the Remedy when conducting some guitar tests a fair number of months back. In response to a query, Brent said, yes, GP had the Remedy and a review likely was forthcoming.

It's in the June issue with Jeff Beck on the cover, page 112.

Went to my local firehouse and read it. Just told me what I already knew...Great amp. I play it through cheap cab's and it sounds great!

Great review! They said there's not a bad sound in it (although they haven't heard me play one ).

Got the issue today- cool article! Although, I knew all about that amp months ago, so GP is kind of late!
GP kinda sucks right now though, I tend to just read a couple reviews and toss it. What a waste, could be such a cool magazine.

Yeah, saw the review today. Kinda funny that noone mentioned the missing nob in the chassis photo. Hard to believe tat GP didn't catch that.

This guy who wrote the review may know tone but he knows nothing about the guts of an amp. Many people don't really know what "plexi" means.......it is actually a cosmetic reference. This tool talked about El84 power tubes? The JTM45 used KT-66 tubes the later "plexi" or Superead/Superbass amps used EL34s if I am not mistaken.
Great props though and I appreciate the review of my favorite amp.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong but let's get the facts straight here.
Peace
Jeff

Peace Jeff I see how it could appear that way in the article, but looking closely, he's not saying that plexis used EL84s, he's saying that the Doc has turned the classic plexi recipe on its head by using the non-Brit-associated 6V6, instead of its "British equivalent" in smaller tubes, the EL84.
