I figured this is a better place than the Guitars and Things forum. Since I have both a Remedy and Stang Ray is on the way. I am 90% Tele player. My Cs Fenders
1 Custom Shop “Twisted” Tele® Single-Coil (Neck), 1 Custom Shop Broadcaster Single-Coil (Bridge)
They are higher end tele's that sold for 4500.00 when I bought them Not listed for that's what they sold for. so they should be really nice pickups. There are clean- but I can't seem to get much breakup with either amp. With Remedy I have the EQ all at noon the Normal channel at 1:00 and the High at 9:00. - should I be using a better pickups set. If so what. There supposed to be good pickups. However they are both 6 year guitars . Any suggestions on either pickups or amp controls. I have a Brake light but haven't used it yet.
I will say this the Remedy and The Ray are in a whole different class than the RXJr. I think once I get my ray in 2 weeks I won't even think about the Jr anymore. I don't now. Although I am playing the Remedy out of a G12H30 it needs a second speaker. The Dr says I would be best served with a V30. According to his new Video the Cel Gold needs to really be pushed. I doubt playing mostly in a home setting I'll ever push these amps. Although I heard a Stangray with a strat recently. The volume appeared to be about 9:30 and it was beautiful tone. No pedal in a very small club. He was playing Blues licks. It sounded great and I am not a Strat fan as much as I am a Tele Fan.
I found out one thing. My Mira couldn't handle the Remedy. Very disappointing.

Good pickups don't mean they are hot pickups. Also are you a really light picker?
How is your Mira unable to handle the Remedy?

Don't be afraid to try every control anywhere from off to dimed. Really, every setting is valid and may have your tone. I routinely dime the tone controls on my Remedy (well, except the treble) and dime the volumes too (gotta have an Airbrake for this) and get phenomenal sounds from it. You have to fiddle with the knobs!

You'll want to hook up that Brake Lite......... Yes the Brake Lite will get the Tele there. I have a '52 RI 'Thin Skin' Tele that has a Nocaster bridge pup.......no trouble getting it to breakup.

Last night I hooked up a Cel Blue with the H30. Hugh tone difference. I am concerned about pushing to much with the Blue. I may get another cab with a V30 in it. Although this Cel blue with a heritage really seems to capture alot more highs than with just the H30. Anyone else using this. I had the Brake Lite at 1 with the high channel and 10:00 and the normal at 12:00. Tonight I will try Brake at 2 with 11 and 1 . I can't be pushing more than 12 watts or so.

The Remedy to me sounds much better at higher settings- Bright channel all the way up, Normal channel at about 2-3:00 and try cutting and boosting all the EQ settings til it sounds right.
I would imagine a nice tele is going to need a slight treble cut, maybe a mid boost and maybe a bass cut...hard to say. I also think the speaker is important. The Remedy that I have played on several occasions (I don't own one but have logged some hours on them) sounds better to me through a 2x12 Z-Best or a 4x12 cabinet than a single 1x12.
You should be able to figure it out with time and effort.

It would seem so- just match up impedances so you don't hurt your transformer.

I can never remember is this right or just the oppisite
2 8 ohms in series is 16 OHMS
2 8 ohms in parallel equals 4 ohms
Aren't most 2x12 cabs with 8 ohm speakers 16 ohms

You are correct on your series and parallel ohm statements
