Just a quicky vid of a guitar solo, live, on a Ronnie Earl tune. From our cd release party.
I'm digging the 66, 1x12 cab and Hamer Artist tone here......and I usually hate EVERYTHING I do.
Keeping up a tradition of never showing myself in my videos!
Enjoy?

Thanks!
I think the Bass and Treble were @ 1 Oclock and the Volume was 11-12 o'Clock.
I had a Weber Mini-Mass hooked up, but it was bypassed at this point. Don't need it so much with the 1x12.

Really? I'm using a very similar setting in my The Who tribute project, but I can't bypass the mini mass in most of the venues. I'm using a 1x12 too (a Emi GB12.. 101db I guess). I keep the Weber around 8,5. It's way way louder when bypassed!

Thank you! I never use the airbrake with my 1-12 and was beginning to think I must be going deaf or something. My speaker is 97-98db so it's pretty inefficient. I find I don't ever need the airbrake. A 101db would probably be quite loud though. Its amazing the difference a speaker makes. Nice solo!

Thanks, guys. Appreciate the nice words.
I always bring the Mini-Mass in these situations, and have it in-line. Early on in the evening I use it, but by this time, it was a good rowdy packed house (even though a small bar). As you can sorta see, we have an upright bass player and the drummer plays little more than a cocktail kit, so it can't be THAT loud.

That's what I was thinking while watching the vid... how can this guy bypass the Mini-mass in this quiet format and style, while I need to hook it up in a... Who tribute band??? But like taswegian said... speakers make a huge difference.

The Red Fang is supposedly 101db, as well.......but I have an Emi Wizard (also 101db) and it's MUCH louder than the Fang.......so who knows?
I also find I can play the 66 much louder, without complaint, than I can a BF or Vox style amp. It's such a warm, fat, pleasing tone that it doesn't fatigue the ears as much, I guess. It's striking to see the different reaction in the audiences.
For instance, I have an EZG-50 that I LOVE, but I get all kinds of volume complaints with it. Bummer.

Great tone and playing. I had forgotten, I need to get out and hear the band. Right on with the "pleasing tone that doesn't fatigue the ears." That's why I can play so long at home sitting next to it. I never like my playing through a BF, my ears would ring and I'd get mad all the time because I stink.

Howdy, Enjoyed the clip, Jimfog. Tasteful playing, coupled with tone fatter than a blue-ribbon Hog!
