Hey,
I have a Route 66 on the way (one of my fave alltimes amps) and I picked up an Avatar open 1x12 to go with it (amazing cosmetic 2nds sale going on!).
Question.......I have two nicely broken in 12" speakers here, ready to load.....a Weber 1265 and an Eminence Red, White and Blues.
Any recommendations on which I should try first, and why?
If you don't suggest either, what WOULD you suggest?
I play mostly tele and strat, medium breakup roots/rock, twang and blues.
Thanks!
- Jim

I really liked a G12H or a Weber Blue Dog in a single 12 open back with the Route 66.

Agree with curt, the brit toned speakers are fantastic with this amp. I use mostly a Emi Red Fang and a Weber Blue 30 watt alnico in an open 112 cab (would really like to try this with the Z convertible 112)
It really sounds "right" with these speakers.
Maybe try the 1265 first.

Exactly what I ran, Weber Alnico 30 watt Blue Dawg...held up to MANY CRANKED gigs with the 66.
