Hi all - DC here! In my relentless pursuit for input and knowledge I want to post this question. I know that many here uses OD/Boost pedals with the Route. Except for various Fuzz,OD & Boost pedals: What other types of pedals do you consider beeing almost absolutely necessary, in the sense you use them most every time you have gig coming up? Cheers: Dixiechicken

Rotary speaker simulator. Specifically the Boss RT-20.
Do you know when your Route 66 is to arrive?

No not excatly the last word from the Norwegian dealer is at the end of August: www.vintagegitar.no/content/view/499/106/It depends when Dr-Z and his staff gets the 230 volt trannies from the subcontractor. They have a bunch of orders for overseas shipping that's waiting for the the trannies. ( menaing the amps are basically built and ready to go ) We have gig tonight - alas no Route, and also last weekend. Well well.. no helping it - maybe I will have time to get to know the Route some before next set of gigs coming up. Cheers: Dixiechicken

A P90 guitar!
Volume pedal and a clean boost. (and of course, a tuner)

Which pedals you need depend on the sound in your mind. I tried many boxes and all I can say is that this amp loves pedals, even if it sounds great "dry". Boosts and ODs sound great, so modulations, delays and reverbs. It's surprising how it gets new colors with every different effect without loosing its character.

I picked up an EH Small Stone last month and I REALLY dig the way it sounds with the 66. Also I really like the EH DMM. Beside them my Leslie 18 sounds FAT!! Not that it's a pedal... Luke

Nothing like a real Leslie cabinett, hearing those baffles revving up. ;D

Leftylang, I'm really jealous of your TTE. I'd love one for the Police covers band I'm in.
I don't think you "Absolutely need" any pedals with the 66. For me, perhaps just a boost, unless you can play somewhere loud.

Hi Tas - Dc here! Glad to here it since I don't own a lot of pedals. ;D I have a promise from the guys at the musicstore - to loan the Carl Martin Quattro - to check it out with the Route - when I get it. Did you catch my very elegant Route66 reference in the thread below? drzamplifiers.proboards41.com/index.cgi?board=cabs&action=display&thread=1188165628( at the end of the thread - about tuning bass-reflex enclosures - pretty neat if I say so myself ) Cheers: Dixiechicken
