How does the 66 sound with Celestion Blues?

Delicious! ;D
If you're after a smokin' blues tone, it's amazing! Extremely compressed, articulate and still thick! A real no-pedals setup.
Might add, I used a Weber 50 watt Alnico Blue...more headroom than a Celestion Blue.

Hmmm, I think I would really like two blues with my 66. I'm gonna have to get a 2-12 blues cab somewhere down the line.

I know this brings an old thread back to life, but were those blues in a closed, open, or zbest cabinet? I am sure it makes a lot of difference in the sound. I have found closed cabinets tend to be much darker with the 66 over open or the Z-best.
