I've read that this beast will exceed 65 watts when pushed (I think Myles wrote it somewhere). I know the SRZ-65 combo version had two Greenbacks. I'm figuring the Doc knew what he was doing and wouldn't jeopardize speaker failure on two 25 watt speakers. I believe the old speaker standard is (for two speaks) twice the lowest rated speaker. If the SRZ is pushing 65+ watts, is it safe to use two Greenbacks rated at 50 watts together?
Just wanna make sure...

I run mine with two Greenies The SRZ Loves them, I'm not an expert but, I would say? IF you aren't cranked on 11 you will not get the max wattage anyway. An Airbrake would be the safe way but, Iv'e been using mine for ever and they sound KILLER!!!! No Problems. I was warned about running my Blues with the SRZ!! It sounds so good but at almost $300.00 a pop I dont want to run the risk of damage! I use the Greenies instead! ROCK ON!!! THE SRZ RULES!!!!

My Greenies are Weber's version, and I think he rated them pretty conservatively. Between that, and Doc using the Celestion Greenbacks in the SRZ Combo, I thought I'd be OK. My main concern was that Beast pumping out more then 65 watts... Yeah, there's no way I'd run that thing through Celestion Blue's. Just too much money to gamble... I bet it'd sound good for the three to five seconds it'd take to fry 'em!
