I've read a few posts where guys (gals?) have raved about the Zendrive pedal with a Ghia. I'm not familiar with this pedal. I see on the website there is a solid state as well as a tube model. Which one is the fave? What is it you like about this pedal? Thanks!

I have the soild state Zendrive. It is a great low gain overdrive. I have heard it said that is gets the Dumble sound but I don't know for sure because I have never played through a Dumble. I can assure you that it is a great overdrive. I doesn't sound really vintage or too modern, I would say it is just right and the Ghia really likes it.

The solid state Zendrive is a fantastic pedal with the Ghia. I use mine for low OD also.

At the moment the solid state pedal is the killer one that is used by a LOT of folks. I will be reporting on the tube version when I receive mine which is on order.

Look forward to your review of the tube Zendrive Myles. By the way I must say that your photos are great! That is some nice gear. The amps aren't bad either.

Look forward to your review of the tube Zendrive Myles. By the way I must say that your photos are great! That is some nice gear. The amps aren't bad either. I am looking forward to the tube version. Talking to Alf over there the way it is set up is that it will still even work if the tube is removed or if it fails ... it will just sound different. That can lead to a lot of cool options perhaps. When I am done with it the new unit will go to Carl Verheyen and then John March. They are two of my "cool test drivers" that can push something in ways my playing abilities never could. On the photos .... last month there was a photo shoot where my wife came for a few hours. When she saw how much was done with hair and makeup she asked me if any of the models look as good before the fact as they do after the work. I initially said no, they all look better after the "work" but then paused and said that Ashley actually is one that looks even better in real life than in photos. Now ... if I would have taken the photos they would have been just awful. That is not my forte to say the least!
