Hey guys,
I'm new to the boards. Just got my first Z amp(RT66) and I love it! Sounds real fab but it's got a 60 cycle hum when its on. It's rather odd...It's there even if the volume , treb and bass are off and there's nothing plugged into the front end. Transformer? Any help would be great!!
Thanks you guys
Best

PSYCO hum, sure that's not 60 cycle hum, or maybe your giving us some insight.
Mis-Matched set of KT-66's, causes this 95% of the time. They do drift with time so if it's not real bad live with it .

Thanks Dr. Z, It's a pretty substantial hum ...I'll get a new set of tubes for it and re bias. Had to switch to something else on a session last night. Sorry about the "Psycho" 60 cycle hum thing. Just trying to keep it light but it never works in type... I probably do hum when I'm Psycho..
