I could really use some help. I have a (Weber kit) '57 Twin 40 watt amp 2X12. I absolutely love this amp but it is so loud. The only time it has ever been cranked (and boy did it sing) was when a tech did some work on it. When I play with my band, I usually have the volume between 2 and 2 1/2 on a scale of 1 - 12. While it still sounds OK, I feel like I am always living on the edge of it being half dead. I do not care about bedroom level attenuation. I play my POD with earphones at home. I like the idea of the Brake Lite as it would be permanent, but have heard some good things about the Weber products as well. Any comments would be welcome. Thanks

I love my brake lite! To me the advantage is that it is mounted right in the amp - no setup other than turning the switch to the right setting. Very transparent too. Try one!

Thanks - I was leaning in that direction anyway, so I think I will get one in the next few weeks. I'm pretty picky about my tone (as I'm sure all of you are as well) and I keep reading on this board that the Dr. Z attenuators are the most transparent. So, thanks to all. And, as you mentioned, I really like the idea of having it mounted to the amp.
