I just got my RX and it was getting bad high pitch chimey noises, I checked out the tubes and the EF86 was really old and smokey so I changed it out with a new EF86. Now, its worse than before, The other tubes look good, but do you think I should change them out anyways to help the problem?

Take the time to do a little troubleshooting first. Pull the grill off the back and use a pencil eraser and tap each tube while the amp is on. The one causing the problem will be immediately obvious to you because it will ring out. If it is the new EF86 maybe you should try to return it and get another.

Never assume that a new tube is a good tube! A good test for EF-86s is the Dr Z tap test: Hold the tube between your thumb and middle finger then give it a quick tap with your pointer finger. If it makes a crash/clank or anything like that it will probably sound bad. I bet if you do this test on that new EF-86 it will make a good racket.
