I love the clean tones of every Z amp I've heard. They all have a little character. I wish I was better at mic placement and all that engineering stuff. I have a hard time capturing what I'm hearing in person with the MAZ... Oh well, this is a loose arrangement of an old hymn. Played on a strat into the MAZ Jr w/ Reverb. Single 12" Greenback. Peace, Eddie www.box.net/shared/ksb6hxbsy9

Nice Eddie! Strat players rejoice... I've always wanted a Maz Jr w/Reverb, this clip another reason why it's such a great amp. Of course the player has a lot to do with the great sound. Nice playing.

Hey Eddie! Not sure how I missed this, but great job!! I really enjoy your clips. You've got a really nice jazzy tone that is really pleasing to the ear. Keep them coming!

This clip is the main reason I'm still getting a Maz 18 to trial. I love the amp on paper (specs, reviews etc) but most of the clips I've heard sound average at best, even unpleasant. This clip is my oasis. I listen to it nearly every day to remind myself that the Maz will sound good.

Thanks all!
mrsooty, I can't handle much more pressure in my life right now and you are putting serious pressure on me! :-) When I listen back to this, I realize my intonation was a bit off. I checked my strat and sure enough, the low E was out. Must be the weather change. ANyway, my skills at recording, micing, etc. are sub par, so if you like what you hear on this, you'll love being in the room with a MAZ. The clean tones are awesome and they never get tiring.
Thanks again, everyone! Eddie

Eddie, That is one real nice piece of playing. The recording sounded very good on my end. How can you go wrong when you have clean tone that. I was not sure what guitar you used until I went back and read the post again. Good job!
Regards, Dan

Aye, but you worked hard on that one lad! Sweet. Post more! I'm a clean sound addict, because you hear the pureness of the strings and the player.

That was lovely Ed...what type of strat did you use on that one and what were the settings on the Maz if you remember?

Thanks so much Jen and all.
Fingers, I don't remember the settings on the MAZ, but they were probably low Volume, high Master, low cut and Reverb below noon.
The strat was on the neck pickup with the volume full up and the tone rolled down a bit (I think).
These days I'm playing the MAZ for a warm jazz tone with the mids all the way up, the treble low and the volume around noon, cut off. Not quite "bassman" warm, but cool.
Peace, Eddie
