We had many of the Z amps represented at our little soiree today, but the Remedy stimulated the most interest in my opinion, and for good reason. It sounded freaking amazing! And I finally got to play my PRS slide guitar through it during an actual performance, and boy does it deliver the Allmans tones. Holy moley. The only thing that was wrong was that I should have set up the Z-Best when we set up the jam, because the single G12-65 was having a hard time keeping up. The Remedy was wide open! But wow, it sure sounded righteous!

I play mine on 20 watts at 9:00 each. I set mine the same and run it through a single 12, and I have no problem being heard. That must have been on LOUD jam!!

Played the Remedy again tonight at an outdoor show - it flat killed. Remedy into Z-Best is most amazing. This amp is rocking my world big time.

Heh.... Taz, you WILL have a Remedy one of these days. No doubt about it. Last night I had my Strat volume on about 3 1/2 for "clean" which wasn't all that clean because I was running the Hi Level on about 3 o'clock and the Normal Level on about 10 o'clock. Bass and Middle dimed, Treble at around noon, Airbrake on 3 clicks. The "clean" was anything but - pretty chewy, which, for much of what we play, worked really nice (Did I say really nice? It was orgasmic!). There were a few tunes where I could have used a cleaner tone, so either I'll have to pull the level back a bit to clean up the "clean" and use a dirt pedal for over the top (less preferred) or go back to my dual head setup (more preferred). I've been taking my Maz 38 as a backup anyway, so I may as well press it into service. Maz Senior for clean duty is almost a slam dunk with a Stratocaster. I was thinking about it last night while I was playing - I've had more great tone revelations playing Dr. Z amps than with all the other amps I've owned, combined (and I buy a LOT of amps). From my first experiences with the Mazerati, my Stingray, the RXES/RX Jr, the Maz Jr and Sr, my SRZ-65 and 6545, and now the Remedy - each one has jerked my head around. But this amp - whoah! Got whiplash from all the head jerking going on here...!!!!
