I've wanted a Mini for a long time and I was able to hold off the GAS until last week. Kruzty had his in the Buy/Sell section and I had to pull the trigger. Good price, easy transaction, and the amp is dead mint! I cannot believe the tone this thing has from 9:00 to full throttle..it is amazing! There is absolutely no need for a reverb or any other pedals. Straight in it may even sound better than my Jr. NR. OK, maybe not but it's damn good! Bottom line is, it's a fun amp with great tone and if you can get your hands on one do it. I was going to wait for the new head version, but for me the portability of the combo is perfect for those short jam sessions at the weekend parties.

I agree 100%. I hadn't played my Mini for a while, but broke it out a couple weeks ago because my wife was starting to yell TURN IT DOWN! when I was playing my RxES, or even the Ghia for that matter (she's 7 months pregnant, so I had no choice). I totally forgot how cool this little amp is. Great tones at any volume, and I can even crank it without getting in trouble.

With an alnico speaker, cranked to 11 with a strat bridge pup, I got a tone really similar to Roy Buchanan's on "Can't Judge a Book by Looking at the Cover." But it's best with 'buckers!

The Zion and my Mini, plus a cheap classical guitar I bought yesterday.

I thought you might have that Mini. Maybe we could meet up in C'ville and you could give me a demo on it sometime.
