I played a solo (acoustic) support gig for a blues and roots type band tonight (Ben Harper, John Butler, etc etc) and loaned the lapsteel player my Mini Z for the gig. He was using a blend of piezo and the amp, which was miked of course and it sounded AMAZING out front. Man it was a fat lapsteel sound! Loved hearing the mini wailing away. Yeah!!
Anyone using the Mini for a lapsteel amp? Or as a slide amp?

I forgot to add he offered to buy it from me on the spot... Well there is a nice 6545 on the bay...and I still want a Ghia... But no, I'm hangin' on to the little fella.

Not a lapsteel or slide, but I had a friend of mine borrow my Mini to play Blues Harp through - amazing tone as well.

I've heard mxied styles from Ben Harper. Remember hearing one of Bonnie Raitt and him, one more the college rock sound and one that the vocal came off like the Black Crows.
