Hello,
I see there are a lot of knowledgable members on this forum. Hopefully someone can help me. I just bought a used Mini Z, and am very pleased with it's huge sound. However, mine has a LOT of volume with the dial at 0 (not just a little bleed-through). As I turn the dial up, there is very little change in volume throughout the range, but it does add dirt. Is this the way the amp is supposed to work, or do I need a new volume pot, or something?
Thanks

I'd think something isnt quite right...mine gets quieter and cleaner as I turn it down.

Maybe it has the master volume mod on it?

Hey Degle, I know we talked, but if you still think it has problem send it in for some service. I'll check it and tweak it up to original spec.

Thanks for the response Dr. Z. I've got the original box, so it will be easy to send. Otherwise, I'll be in Cleveland next week. The mini might be safer as a carry-on.

My local amp tech fixed the problem with the volume. Now the amp is working perfectly. Thanks for the responses.
